Female Football

North Epping Rangers Female Football

We Play Like Girls. Try to Keep Up!

At North Epping Rangers (NER), we are proud of our strong and vibrant female football community, offering teams for all ages and skill levels. From Miniroos(U5) to Masters (Over 40s) and our top-tier Women’s Premier League (WPL) team, we provide a supportive and competitive environment for all female players.

Our commitment to developing female footballers is reflected in both our on-field success and dedicated player pathways, helping every female player grow, improve, and reach their goals. But we’re not stopping there – we continue to expand and enhance our female football programs, creating more opportunities for players to develop, compete, and thrive at every level.

Through new initiatives, enhanced coaching, and a strong club culture, we are dedicated to empowering female footballers—not just as players, but as leaders, coaches, and role models in the sport. Our vision is to grow and strengthen female football at NER, striving to make it so that every player, from grassroots to elite levels, has the support, resources, and encouragement to reach their full potential.

NER Female Football Pathway

We believe in nurturing talent from a young age and providing structured development opportunities for those wanting to take their football further.

Our Female Football Pathway provides a clear progression from junior teams through to our Women’s Premier League squad, ensuring players receive the training, mentoring, and opportunities needed to thrive.

Many of our female players have progressed to NPL or representative teams, often returning to North Epping Rangers with valuable experience, reinforcing our reputation for developing talent at all levels.

Girls Football Academy & WPL Development Squad

To strengthen our female development pathway, we’ve introduced two key programs:

  • Girls Football Development Academy (U12 – U18)– A high performance development training squad for talented North Epping Rangers players, focused on building technical skills, game awareness, and confidence for young players wanting to improve and progress. A high-performance training squad for talented players looking to level up their game. The Football Development Academy is designed to run alongside the players regular club team training. These sessions provide additional coaching and skill development to help players reach their full potential while continuing to play for their NER team.
  • WPL Development Squad (U16+)– A high-performance training program designed for aspiring senior players who want to take their game to the next level. This program bridges the gap between youth competitions and Women’s Premier League, offering players the opportunity to train alongside WPL squad members, gain match experience as a fill-in when needed, and develop in a competitive environment—all while continuing to play with their friends in their own North Epping Rangers club team.

Our female players, coaches, and leaders support each other across all age groups, creating a positive and inclusive club culture.

Our senior players, including our Women’s Premier League team, play a key mentoring role, guiding younger players and inspiring them to pursue their football goals.

Female Coaches, Referees, and Leadership

We are committed to developing female leaders in football.

  • Coaching: We are proud to have female coaches, including C-Diploma accredited coaches, who provide expert guidance and support. Many of our youth players also take on coaching roles with our Miniroos teams.
